Associate Chair and Director of the Actuarial Science Program, American University in Cairo

Dr. Noha Youssef is currently the Associate Chair and Director of the Actuarial Science Program at the American University in Cairo. She holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she also earned a certificate for teaching in higher education. Noha has held various teaching positions at LSE and Cairo University, where she instructed students in a wide range of subjects including statistics and mathematics.

Professionally, Noha is a member of esteemed organizations such as the Higher Education Academy in the UK and the Royal Statistical Society. Her research interests are wide-ranging and include designing computer experiments, optimizing statistical methods, and analyzing complex data models. Specifically, she has applied different time series models to various practical problems, enhancing her research scope. Noha has presented her research at international conferences and published her work in respected journals. She has also been actively involved in supervising student theses that apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems, particularly using time series models. In her role, she is dedicated to teaching, guiding her students, and contributing valuable knowledge to her field.
