Khurram Mirza is global chief investment officer with Kroma Capital Partners, a DIFC based regulated entity focused on OCIO, hedge funds and private markets.
Prior to that, he was Head of Asset Allocation, Osool Asset Management BSC (c), a Bahraini asset management company mandated to manage the assets of Bahrain’s pension funds. He was also Executive Director of SICO Bank since 2017, representing Social Insurance Organization – Bahrain, and a member of SICO Board Nomination, Remuneration and Corporate Governance Committee.
He is a Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries’ (London), with post-graduate qualifications in quantitative finance, and has a career spanning thirty years in London and the Middle East.
An Actuary by training, Khurram began his career in actuarial pensions consulting in the UK over 25 years ago, firstly for Bacon & Woodrow (now Aon). This role involved the actuarial analyses for some of the largest defined benefit pensions schemes in UK and continental Europe.
He then spent 2 years at Sedgwick Noble Lowndes’ Investment Strategy Team (now Mercer Investment Consulting), a team which was responsible for investment consulting projects for Trustees of predominantly defined benefit schemes. Such analyses included Asset Liability Modelling to assist with setting Strategic Asset Allocations as well as asset allocation advice relating to target date funds.
Between 1996 and 2004, Khurram worked for Aviva Investors in London (current AUM > $500 Billion USD), within their portfolio risk function covering risk management and portfolio construction across all asset classes.18th floor Nordic Tower,
