Kim Gubler

Chairman, The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA), UK

has more than 30 years’ experience working in the pensions industry.  She is a Fellow of both the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and Pensions Advisory Service.  She created KGC associates, one of the few independent governance consultancies in the UK, in 2002 working with Trustees and scheme sponsors to drive up governance through delivering improved operational efficiencies.

Kim is a strong advocate of leveraging technology to deliver better outcomes for pensions savers.  She was a founding director of the Pensions Administration Standards Authority (PASA), which was established to promote best practice in pensions administration.  Kim has been Chair of PASA since January 2019 and during her leadership the organisation has grown in scale and influence.

She is an Independent Trustee Director of the Smart Pensions Master Trust, an award-winning digital first multi-employer pension provider with circa £5bn assets under management. Kim is also a fully Accredited Professional Trustee.

Kim is a member of the Pension Dashboards Advisory Group, created to provide specialist advice to the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP).  She is also a member of the Department of Work & Pensions’ Default Consolidator Delivery Group, put together make recommendations to Government on a solution to the multiple small defined contribution pots issue, prevalent in the UK since the introduction of Auto Enrolment.  Kim engages regularly with the Pensions Regulator on a range of initiatives to help deliver a more robust pension system.  She is PMI’s Principal Examiner for Professionalism and Governance, the qualifying module for its Advanced Diploma and sits on PMI’s Examining Committee.

Kim holds a B.A. (hons) in Business and a Diploma in Business Excellence.  Outside of pensions she is a British Dressage judge, as well as competing on her own horses.
