Professor Mohamed Gouda is the Head of the Department of Insurance and Actuarial Science at Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University. Formerly, he was Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
He earned his PhD in Insurance and Applied Statistics from Suez Canal University in 1998, and has been a prominent faculty member at Cairo University since 1986. Professor Gouda has published extensively in the fields of business mathematics, investment mathematics, and financial risk management.
Additionally, he is a consultant for Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority and contributed to the development of insurance programs and curricula at various institutions. He’s an expert on actuarial and statistical models, risk management, insurance risk modeling and pricing.
